League To Host 4 Candidate Forums

ELLENSBURG, WA  (September 22, 2019) – The Kittitas Valley League of Women Voters will host four Candidates Night Forums in October to introduce candidates in contested seats to the voters. Two forums will be held in Cle Elum and two in Ellensburg.

The upper county forums will take place October 15 & 16 from 7-9pm at Putnam Centennial Center, 719 E. Third St, Cle Elum and are free and open to the public.

7:00pm – Kittitas County Commissioner Candidates

7:30pm – Roslyn City Council Candidates

7:00pm – Fire District 7 Candidates

7:20pm – Water District 5 & 7 Candidates

8:15pm – Roslyn Mayor Candidates

Two forums in Ellensburg are cosponsored by the Ellensburg Public Library and will be held on October 22 (7-9pm) & 24 (6:30-9pm) at Hal Holmes Center, 201 Ruby Street, Ellensburg. These events are free and open to the public

7pm – Hospital District Commissioner Candidates

8pm – Ellensburg City Council Candidates

6:30pm – Ellensburg School District Position 1 Candidates

7pm – Kittitas County Commissioner Candidates

8pm – Legislative District 13 Candidates

These forums are for candidates in contested races only. Confirmed candidates include Alex Ybarra and Steve Verhey for Legislative District 13, Cory Wright and Nancy Lillquist for Kittitas County Commissioner, Brent Hals and Doug Johnson for Roslyn Mayor, and many more.

Each candidate will give a short introduction and will respond to questions submitted by the League and audience members. Charli Sorenson will be the moderator.

Each Candidates Night will be videotaped and posted to the League’s website (KittitasLeague.org) and/or live-streamed over ECTV2. These events are always free of charge.
