2023 VOTER’s GUIDE

GENERAL ELECTION

  • Are you VoteReady? Register to vote or check your voter registration status at VoteWA.gov.
  • Click here to read the Kittitas County Voter Pamphlet and click here for a sample Kittitas County general ballot.
  • Check out the candidate’s LWV Questionnaire responses at Vote411.org. During an election, the LWV Washington State asks all candidates to complete a LWV questionnaire describing themselves and their candidacy. See which candidates took the time to inform you, the voter, about their candidacy by logging into Vote411.org.
  • The Kittitas County LWV invited all candidates in contested elections (including filed write-in candidates) to participate in a recorded candidate interview and to submit campaign information. The videos of those candidates who chose to participate and/or send campaign info are linked below.
  • Follow the money! Who is paying in support and opposition? The PDC is the state agency tracking campaign and initiative spending for local and state office. FEC is the federal agency tracking campaign spending for federal office. Because it is important to know who is paying to elect or oppose a candidate, be sure to follow the money. Also, check out the nonprofit site FollowTheMoney.org that tracks campaign money. NOTE: Candidates running for a local office that does not include the entire county, and with less than 1,000 registered voters, and who expect to raise less than $5,000 are not required to file with the PDC.
  • In the News: after a google search of the candidate’s name, the most recent news article – if any – is selected for linking. These are updated weekly until election.
