League To Host Candidate Forum

Kittitas Valley League of Women Voters and Ellensburg Public Library Host Candidate Forum

ELLENSBURG, WA  (September 10, 2018) – The Kittitas Valley League of Women Voters and the Ellensburg Public Library will host a Candidate Forum from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, October 18th for candidates running for Legislative District 13 seats and Kittitas County seats. The forum will take place in the City Council Chambers and is free and open to the public.

Confirmed candidates include Sylvia Hammond and Matt Manweller who are running for a representative seat in the state House. Lower County District Court Judge candidates Paul Sander and Dovie Sigle, and County Coroner candidates Rick Tuckness and Nick Henderson have also confirmed their attendance. The League is waiting on confirmation from other candidates who have been invited. Candidates who are running unopposed were not invited.

Each candidate will give a short introduction and will respond to questions submitted by the League and audience members. Gayl Curtiss will be the moderator. Candidates Night will be videotaped and live-streamed over ECTV. This event is free of charge and is co-sponsored by the Ellensburg Public Library.

The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any candidate or political party.
