2019 Olympia – Legislation Alerts

The latest on bills the League supports, opposes, and is watching!

Democracy

  • Support prepaid postage on election ballots – contact your representatives in Olympia and urge passage of HB 1209 / SB 5063.
  • Support Native American Voting Rights Act – urge your representatives to pass HP 1339 / SB 5079.
  • Support disclosure of contributions from PACs to PACs, contact your representatives in Olympia and urge passage of HP 1379 (companion bill SB 5221 has passed the Senate).
  • Oppose HJM 4004 / SJM 8002 – ‘limited’ constitutional convention. The League opposes both of these memorials because there is no way to guarantee that the convention would only be limited to issues of free and fair elections.
