The impacts of COVID-19 on our lives cannot be overstated and as scary as this virus is, we have the opportunity to rise above our own fears and contribute to solutions.
We can volunteer
Some of us can volunteer in person (driving, delivering, lifting, moving, stocking, packaging, answering phones, and more), some of us can donate our skills from home (make phone calls, sew or knit a project, build or craft, write grants, manage websites, organize & manage online meetings, 3D print, and more). Volunteers will also be needed to walk pets, help with lawn care and gardening, and more we haven’t even thought of yet.
Many service organizations currently offer volunteer opportunities (FISH, RSVP, Hopesource, and many more!) and we urge you to explore those opportunities.
In addition to these options, Hopesource is offering temporary COVID-19 Kittitas County Volunteer coordination. They will match volunteers to need so we can all do our part to get through this by pulling together and building a stronger community.
