There are 5 county positions to be decided this fall. Statewide there are over a dozen races, and federally, there are 3 (U. S. Congressi District 8, U.S. Senator, and U. S. President). In addition, there are several contested precinct committee officer races.
Make no mistake, running for elected office is a big deal. In some cases, the elected position confers little monetary reward even though it demands dedication, goodwill, integrity, and a sacrifice of time.
Please note, multiple candidates are listed in filing order. Let’s look first at the uncontested races.
No Contest
Barring any write-in candidates, these races will be uncontested this year, offering voters no real choice.
